How it started
Barbays started just under two years ago when a friend showed me a disappointing store bought scrunchie that had poor quality fabric and the elastic gave way in just a few days. Knowing that I had access to my own personal Martha Stewart, my mother, Barbay herself! We set out to make a better, higher quality scrunchie anyone would be proud to wear.
Growth
This quickly set into motion additional requests from friends & family and our business was born. With the help and support of family, we have a growing team dedicated to producing the highest quality scrunchies possible. All of our scrunchies are made locally, with the intention of providing a fashion-forward investment piece that sets our customers apart and gives them added confidence to conquer the day.
Goals
Our goal is to always be the first ones to try something new, strive for new ideas and product development and to never settle for the easy road. We want to find new fabrics, test new looks, all while staying true to providing a quality staple hair go to, that is your favourite accessory.

The truth of the matter is, my mom is my inspiration. Having a supportive, understanding and musical loving travel buddy that I get to call Mom is so special.
